Hue is best known for its royal architecture with impressive palaces, mausoleums and pavilions. This day tour shows you the finest examples of Hue architecture, including the Forbidden Purple City and the iconic Thien Mu Pagoda.

Detailed program

Day 01: Panorama of Hue (L)
Pick you up at hotel in Hue for a boat trip along the poetic Perfume River, watching the river life and peaceful scenery along the banks. Stop en route to visit the iconic Thien Mu pagoda (Heavenly Lady pagoda), the symbol of Hue, and Minh Mang mausoleum - one of Hue's  finest royal tombs, an architectural complex of 40 constructions (palaces, temples, pavilions, etc.) Lunch in local restaurant with Hue best food.
The afternoon spent for visiting Hue Imperial City - the last royal city of Vietnam with three ramparts and beautiful constructions including the Flag Tower, Ngo Mon Gate, Nine Dynastic Urns, Nine Holy Cannons, Thai Hoa Palace and Forbidden Purple City (Tu Cam Thanh). We then catch a cyclo to tour around the poetic city with shaded boulevards, beautiful French architecture and romantic riverside road. Transfer back to the hotel for overnight.
Day 02: Hue in depth (B, L)
Start our new day by visiting Tomb of Emperor Khai Dinh, which features some modern European architectural design into traditional oriental style. Then to Tomb of Emperor Tu Duc - which was built between 1864 to 1867 by 3000 soldiers and workers. It includes 50 monuments surrounded by a 1500m long wall and covers an erea of 12ha. Then depart to visit Tu Hieu pagoda, the most beautiful pagoda crowned on a hill top in Hue countryside. The last destination of our tour is Hue handicraft village renowned for its conical hat making tradition. Hue conical hat is specially called "Poem hat" as it is very delicate and refined in decorations, perfect souvenirs for your trip in Hue. Talk to local people and take some nice pictures. Transfer back to the hotel. End of services.
